Safe and Reliable Actual measurements confirm no charging occurs
We measured the battery voltage under two conditions—battery removed: 1.6 V, battery installed: 1.6 V. If the solar panel were charging the battery, the voltage would rise above 1.6 V. Since it stayed the same, we can confirm that solar power does not charge the battery, making alkaline batteries completely safe in this device with no risk of internal pressure, leakage, or overheating.
